Sunday 10 January 2010. (About 10:30 AM)
An earthquake occurred in the Le Marche Region. It was felt over a large area including the provinces of Ancona, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno.
It registered 3.9 on the Richter scale but was of brief duration. The epicenter was between the communities of Sant'Angelo in Pontano and Loro Piceno in the province of Macerata at a depth of 9 km. The Civil Protection have received no reports of damage to persons or property
Tuesday 12 January 2010.
There seems to be no end to the tremors affecting Le Marche since last Sunday.
After 4 tremors this morning, the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia registered the following quakes from the same zone: -
At 12:30 and 12:40 magnitude 2.7 Richter scale.
At 14:30 magnitude 4.1
At 15:00 magnitude 2.5
These events took place at a depth between 18 and 25 kilometers and were clearly felt by the population.
No damage reported.

Monday 15 February 2010.
Corinaldo. The residents of Corinaldo and the Valle del Cesano have been very worried for some time about the Edison company's application to build a turbo gas plant in the area.
Following a lot of work by local government and representatives of the local population, the central government have today given a NO to the authorization.
Thank goodness to common sense and a caring for the ambient in such a beautiful region.
