Farm holidays are known as agriturismo in Italy. It does not always mean a typical farm environment with farmyard animals, but often a farmhouse carefully restored with all modern conveniences whilst trying to maintain the character of the original house or barn.
Agriturismo Marulla is such a place, the main apartments are in the building shown on the left of the three photos above. Originally the upper part was the hay loft and below were the stalls.
The whole building has now been restructured to form comfortable self catering apartments.
The agriturismo has a large pool with solarium and plenty of space situated no more then 35 metres from any apartment. The buildings in the right hand photo are where the Marziali family (the owners) lived and have now become the restaurant, bar, office and other apartments, some of which are permanently rented. Stefano Marziali manages the agriturismo, he seems a little shy when you first meet him but you are bound to fall for his charm, friendliness and willingness to please.
The apartments are in various sizes to sleep a maximum of 4, 5 or 8 people. All are fully equipped for a self catering holiday with dining area and kitchen.
