Cantiano, Pesaro - Urbino, Le Marche, Italy.
The villa is situated at the foot of Mount Catria near the village of Cantiano, in the Province of Pesaro - Urbino, Le Marche and close to the boundary with Umbria. Just a short drive to Urbino, Gubbio and the Montefeltro region.
This beautiful farmhouse has recently been completely renovated (1999-2002) by experts who have strictly adhered to the original structure and architecture of the old farm house. The oldest part of the house dates back to the middle ages when it was a guard tower, later to become a farmhouse and added to from time to time. Named after a fresh water spring close to the property and appearing on some of the oldest maps.
The villa is built in locally quarried light coloured stone known as 'corniola'. The villa has now been made into four totally independent apartments for your self catering holiday in the Le Marche and Umbria regions.
The apartments share the surrounding grounds, 15m X 7m pool and lawn patio area. The large pool is open from 10th June for as long as weather permits. The patio is furnished with picnic tables and chairs, deck chairs with sun shades, large parasols and 4 gazebos (large umbrella type) for relaxing in the shade.
Close to the patio area there is a covered outdoor cooking area with wood fired oven and grills (one portable) for barbecues.
Apartments vary in size and price and sleep from two to five persons.
A large room (Sala Acquabattaglia) is provided for common use of guests. Furnished in an older style with fireplace and dedicated kitchen which can be used by guests who wish to prepare meals together rather than using one of the apartments.
Adequate car parking.
